Who takes the jeep
Three kinds of traveller, mostly. Photographers, because you can shoot from a moving vehicle with the roof off and stop wherever you like. Families, because a five-year-old and a grandparent can do the same trip. And groups where two people ride and two do not — the jeep follows the bikes, carries the bags and picks up anyone who has had enough of the wind.
It is also the sensible choice from June to August. When a storm comes over the plateau, being inside something with a roof and four wheels changes the day completely.
Route and length
The jeep runs the same circuit as our motorbike tours: Bac Sum and Heaven Gate, Quan Ba, Tham Ma Pass, the Vuong palace at Sa Phin, Dong Van Old Quarter, the Ma Pi Leng Skywalk, Ma Pi Leng Pass, and the boat into Tu San Canyon on the Nho Que River. The four-day version adds Lung Cu Flag Tower and the Du Gia valley.
Day-by-day detail is identical to the motorbike packages: see the three-day itinerary or the four-day itinerary.
