Which one is right for you

You have ridden a manual or semi-automatic bike before

Take the self-riding option. You get your own bike, a lead guide in front and a tail guide behind. The three-day package is the sweet spot: enough time for the boat trip on the Nho Que and a full afternoon on Ma Pi Leng.

You have never ridden, or you do not have the right licence

Take the easy rider option on the same package. You ride pillion behind a local driver who knows every corner. It costs more than self-riding because you are paying for a driver, and it is the single most common choice among first-time visitors.

You are travelling with children, parents or someone who cannot ride

Take the jeep or the SUV. Both run the same route with an English-speaking driver, both include a private room every night, and both let you stop for photographs without unpacking a rain jacket first.

You want the mountains without giving up comfort

The SUV High-Class package swaps homestays for four and five star hotels in Ha Giang and Dong Van while keeping the same road and the same stops.

Included in every package

  • A local guide for the whole route, not a different person each day.
  • All accommodation on the loop — homestay dorm as standard, private rooms on request or included on the car packages.
  • All meals listed on the itinerary, cooked where you sleep.
  • Entrance tickets for the sights on the route, including the Nho Que River boat.
  • Fuel, and damage cover on the motorbike or vehicle.
  • Free luggage storage in Ha Giang city while you are on the road.

Not included: transport to and from Ha Giang city, personal travel insurance, drinks outside meals, and the private-room supplement of 400,000 ₫ per two people per night on the motorbike packages.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book?
In September, October and around Vietnamese public holidays, two to three weeks. Outside those periods a few days is usually enough, though homestay private rooms go first.
Can you run a private departure for our group?
Yes. Any package can run privately with your own guide, and from about six people the price per head is close to the group rate.
What happens if it rains?
The tours run. You get a poncho, the guide adjusts the pace, and if a section of road is genuinely unsafe we reroute. Ha Giang in the rain is quieter and, honestly, more atmospheric.
Is there an age limit?
No upper limit. Children are welcome on the jeep and SUV packages; for motorbike packages we ask that pillion passengers are at least twelve and comfortable sitting still for several hours.
